This short parody of Ridley Scott's 1979 film Alien was produced as part of Ben McCorkle's Fall 2017 Sci-Fi/Fantasy Literature course (English 3372). Cast and production members include: Jan Coffey, Christy Horton, John Long, and Micah Vanvoorhis.
ARTIST'S STATEMENT (excerpt):
Alien [the original film] is a sci-fi masterpiece, using elements from many films across genres to create a definitive, original work of the science fiction genre that was heightened by generic concepts of horror films. The successful intercourse of these two genres gave birth to a subgenre that remains popular today, still following many of the same rules and formulas used in Alien, yet perhaps never done quite as well.
